Aerial Photos and Videos
Aerial photo and/or video packages utilise a small drone fitted with a high quality camera to add another dimension to your imagery, showing your assets or location from up above. The view from your location and its proximity to nearby landmarks can also be highlighted.
Aerial images and footage can be a great way to:
showcase residential or commercial real estate for sale or lease;
follow the progress of a building site;
uncover potential views from chosen heights;
promote tourist attractions and local landmarks;
document events;
conduct visual inspections of assets.
Current drone technology provides high quality photo and video files in a safe and cost-effective manner. This is leading to an increasingly popular, and even expected, level of service to include drone imagery, in many industries.

Drone safety
Cath Thuaux Photography approaches safety and professionalism with the utmost importance when flying the drone. A number of precautions and systems are in place to achieve this:
Adherence to Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations when flying the drone.
Certified with a Remote Pilot Licence (RePL), issued by CASA.
The drone is registered with CASA.
Pre-flight and in-flight planning and checks to ensure it’s safe to fly at the location.
The drone is equipped with obstacle avoidance, battery warning and return-to-home systems.
Public liability insurance for commercial photography and drone use.
Due to regulations or weather conditions, there are some places and circumstances I can’t fly my drone, therefore, won’t be able to take aerial photos or videos.
These are:
Over crowds, such as at sporting events, markets or festivals etc. However, I can fly 30m to the side of a crowd;
Where I can’t see it, such as behind buildings or trees, at night or through cloud, fog or smoke;
In the rain or high winds;
More than 120m above the ground, as that’s where the manned aircraft fly;
Near accident scenes, active emergency services or rescue operations, as it impedes the use of emergency services’ aircraft;
Where it will cause a distraction, hazard or an accident, such as near traffic;
Close to an airport, heliport or military base, or if a manned aircraft is flying nearby, or within a designated no-fly zone. Luckily, this isn’t much of an issue on the Central Coast.
